Erection Fever Hits the Capital
NAYPYITAW, Myanmar (PNN)

Forget economic crisis, pig flu, bird flu and everything else…here in Naypyitaw its erection fever!
Another PNN exclusive: Interview with Than Shwe

PNN: So Than Shwe you really think you will finally have an erection in 2010, a long time coming nuh?

Than Shwe: Oh yes ….oh yes….I will have the biggest most successful erection in the history of the world…but please understand of course it will take some time to become mature.

PNN: …man you are 76 years old… it should be mature by now?

Than Shwe: Well I’ve only had two erections in the last 20 years and the last was…well, shall we say things went off a bit premature …but remember the erection wasn’t in my hands like it will be this time. I will keep a firm grip on it…an iron hand in a rubber glove!

PNN: Will you allow International Erection Observers?

Than Shwe: Well of course Barking Mad and Gumball--

PNN: Do you mean Ban Ki Moon and Gambari.?

Than Shwe: Yes, yes, that’s them… they are pleading to be allowed to watch. I am so popular I get emails offering help for my erection difficulties from all over the world every day. However I think the little woman, my wife, Kyiang Kyiang, has been waiting for this day a long time. She is a keen observer of erections so the honor should go to her. We don’t need any foreign help with this.

PNN: We heard you asked that people “refrain from smear campaigns and avoid personal attacks”. Anything in particular concerning you?

Than Shwe: Well when I was a young lad at school I was involved in an erection that got out of control. The teasing can be terrible you know if one’s erection isn’t yet well-formed. I want to avoid that.

PNN: And the “smear campaigns”?

Than Shwe: Well some idiot NGO was talking about running a PAP smear campaign for women…how is a man supposed to have a successful erection with those kind of smear campaigns going on! Women’s health can wait till I’ve had my big erection!

PNN: Speaking of women, we have heard that Lanna Action for Burma would like to play a part in holding your erection. How would you feel about that?

Than Shwe: I’m no prude…any group who wishes to carry out some mature party orgyanizing work…will have my blessing. But remember…a good erection is very hard and can be quite tricky to pull off!

PNN: Umm…yes thank you Than Shwe

Sarong Revolution

Escalation!

Over the last 12 months Than Shwe and his Generals have been hit with a barrage of panty power from all over the globe.

We have seen his health fail, cracks in the military, we have seen SPDC stumble bumble and fumble…taking many wrong turns following their silly road map to hell. Their grip is loosening daily and they are too obsessed with their addictions and greed to notice.

Than Shwe and the SPDC we are here to tell you that not one of your tricks nor a single one of your lies has fooled us for a second. You’re not dealing with the UN now…you are dealing with us…the angry women of Burma and the rest of the

world.

We regret to tell you that your reckless stupidity and ongoing cruelty has led us to decide to escalate our attack on what is left of your tiny tiny tiny little pong!

More powerful than a G string…

Faster than bloomers …

Panties were just the beginning Than Shwe….

Lanna Action for Burma declares a global surge against Burma

LETTER from LAB to Campaign group in Canada

May 27th, 2008

We the women of Lanna Action for Burma, would like to express our sincere gratitude and our many thanks to the Fédération des femmes du Québec and the Rights & Democracy Student Network as well as to their numerous coalition partners for today’s launch of our “Panties for Peace” campaign in Québec and across Canada.

Since seizing power in 1962, the military regime has subjected the population of Burma to extreme brutalities. These intensified after the student-led pro-democracy uprising in 1988. In addition to crimes suffered by all, the regime practices systematic rape and other forms of sexual, physical and emotional violence against the women of Burma.

The current humanitarian crisis affecting the population of Burma today is a product of more than 20 years of gross neglect and human rights abuses. The new crisis began as a natural disaster but quickly became a man-made catastrophe.

Once again the horrible aftermath of Cyclone Nargis has exposed the corruption and tyranny of Burma’s military regime for all the world to see.

Once again we stand together full of sorrow and anger …

Once again we refuse to be helpless… powerless…silenced…
Your involvement in The Panties for Peace campaign is needed now more than ever: While the world dithers about “Responsibility to Protect,” also known as R2P… let the women of the world lead with R2PP, the “Right to Post Panties.” Our fury has grown and Burma’s military rulers are in a weakened state and thus vulnerable to the power that they attribute to our underpants. If this is the power they believe we have, then this is the power we will use against them.
You will be sending your panties as a clear message to the military junta and also sending donations directly to help the people of Burma affected by Cyclone Nargis. All donations will be sent to groups on the Thai Burma border who are working with victims of the humanitarian crisis inside Burma. We believe that at this time, it is the only way to ensure that assistance is provided both independently and directly to the people.
We women of Burma need the support of women around the world. Your commitment to endorse this important and therapeutic campaign on our behalf gives hope, courage and triumph to the women of Burma at the time when we need it most.
Again thank you to all of you for your help and solidarity.

Unhappy Bad-Day Than Shwe

Press Release

www.lannaactionforburma.blogspot.com
Contact: lannaactionforburma@gmail.com

1st February 2008

CHIANG MAI - Than Shwe is the supreme leader of the Burmese military regime who has been carrying out human rights abuses on the peoples of Burma for over two decades.

2nd February is Than Shwe’s birthday. Last birthday, February 2006, Than Shwe was awarded third place in the “World’s 10 Worst Dictators” list. This year Burma supporters around the world are gathering to make sure Than Shwe has an Unhappy Bad Day, rather than a Happy Birthday.

Every year, Than Shwe marks his birthday by giving alms to some monks. This year he may not find any monks who are willing to come for this farcical birthday ceremony. He believes that, even he has been a bad boy all his life, he can cheat fate by making merit and using “Yadayachay”. Yadayachay involves holding ceremonies that supposedly trick the gods into believing something has already come to pass. For example a fake funeral will be held to ward off death. The Generals of Burma try to use Yadayachay to avoid the consequences of their sins but the extent of their wrongdoings has eclipsed all the powers of any Yadayachay ceremony. Time has run out for Than Shwe.

A well respected fortune teller has foreseen that within 2008, “Than Shwe will face a threat to his wealth and personal security from a trusted person or a group.” Where will the betrayal of Than Shwe begin? A reliable military source says that Light Infantry Division 66 (LTD 66) is his most trusted Division.

“Although we know an end of Than Shwe’s power is so very close we still would like to mark this day. After all he deserves to have many bad-day wishes. For 50 million people in Burma, every day is a bad day because of the atrocities of successive military regimes. He has the power to change his fate, not just try and avoid it. We want him held responsible.” said Cynthia Hill, a member of Lanna Action for Burma.

Today, thousands of Burma supporters all over the world are holding events for Than Shwe and sending him unhappy bad-day wishes. A special unhappy bad-day song will be sung for him and there will also be an array of rituals all aimed at further weakening Than Shwe and promoting freedom for Burma. At a bad-day event for Than Shwe in Chiang Mai, Thailand people sang “Unhappy Bad Day” around a cake in the shape of a pair of panties that bore Than Shwe’s face. Sections of the cake were then fed to the dogs, while other pieces were taken home for use in further rituals.
